The first three series of Australian Book Collectors charted the lives and collecting careers of more than three hundred individuals, including Australian and overseas collectors who built significant collections of Australiana.
This fourth series adds another 33 biographies, dealing with the lives of the collectors and information about the acquisition, content, and fate of their collections. As before, provenance is a key focus of the book, with information provided on ownership devices such as bookplates, book labels, and other identifying marks.
